Liver Diseases, Cancers, and Hepatitis B: A Series of Community-Based Health Education & Outreach Programs
GOALS: The overall goals of these community outreach education forums are to educate and empower Africans, Arab-Americans, Nepalese, Bhutanese, Burmese, and foreign-born Immigrant and Refugee community members with health information on liver diseases, cancers and Hepatitis B. Sessions will stress the importance of screenings, vaccinations, and opportunities for treatment.
YOU ARE INVITED TO ATTEND A SERIES OF 3 COMMUNITY FORUMS STARTING IN JUNE 2022
SESSION 1: Liver diseases, Liver Cancer, and Hepatitis B
When: Sunday June 26, 2022 Where: Virtual Time: 4-6 pm
Come and learn about:
- Ways some toxins might raise your chances of getting liver cancer
- The most common and other types of liver diseases and liver cancers
- Ways certain diseases, etc., can raise your odds and make you more likely to get some types of cancer
- Prevention opportunities such as screenings and vaccinations
- Potential treatment opportunities
- Additional resources available in Allegheny County , PA
